Section 48
Exercise of Jurisdiction

(1) Jurisdiction of the Judicial Committee shall be exercised by the coordinator and members of the Judicial Committee collectively and the opinion of the majority shall be considered as the decision of the Judicial Committee.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), if the coordinator of the judicial committee and one other member are present, the dispute can be processed and settled.
(3) In addition to the coordinator of the judicial committee, if two other members are present, other actions can be taken other than settling the dispute.
(4) If the post of coordinator becomes vacant due to any reason, the dispute can be processed and resolved with the unanimous consent of the other two members of the judicial committee.
(5) Notwithstanding anything written elsewhere in this section, the coordinator of the judicial committee or any member of the judicial committee may not take action and settle the dispute if the personal interests or interests of the coordinator or any member are affected or if a person within the relationship of such coordinator or member is a party to the dispute.
(6) According to sub-section (5), in case of a dispute that cannot be resolved by a coordinator or a member, a member other than such coordinator or member may take action and settle the dispute. If the coordinator and all the members are not able to take action and settle such dispute, the relevant assembly shall appoint three members to take action and settle the dispute.
(7) The senior member of the three members shall act as the coordinator of the judicial committee while processing and settling the dispute as per sub-section (6).
